What is Isabelline Color?

Though the details have been lost in time, it is often suggested that isabelline color is named either after Infanta Isabella Clara Eugenia of Spain or Isabella I of Castile. This gentle shade of white and is often applied to plumage of birds or animal coats. For instance, in Europe, the color is used for horse with very pale palomino or cream coats. In the the United Kingdom, isabelline is used to describe light fawn colored Doberman dogs.
