What is Platinum CMYK Color?
Platinum color in the CMYK model has the values (10, 10, 10, 0). Thus, there is 10 of cyan, magenta and yellow, with 0 of black. This translates to an approximate hex code #E2DDDB and RGB values of (226, 221, 219). The CMYK system is the foundation of color printing technology that runs both large industrial and small desktop printers. Colors are created using only four inks - cyan (C), magenta (M), yellow (Y) and black (K). Please understand that platinum CMYK as it looks on the screen may not be reproduced exactly on printed paper not only because of the two different color models - hex and CMYK - but also because of the quality of the printer, the paper and the four inks.
NOTE: The platinum (CMYK) hex color code mentioned on this page is just an approximation. It has been calculated from the CMYK values. As you probably know, the CMYK color model is for print media while hex codes and the equivalent RGB values are for screen. The two can seldom be converted correctly. Additionally, platinum color displayed on the screen through its hex code, may look very different when printed (by the CMYK values).
